POSITION OVERVIEW

True Sports Cards is
looking for Part-Time Work-From-Home Card Sorters to help organize and
process large quantities of sports trading cards.

The primary
responsibility of this position is taking unsorted boxes of sports cards and
systematically organizing them by sport, year, set, and card number.

This is a
production-based position. Card Sorters will be paid per completed box,
with compensation ranging from $20–$30 per box depending on the size of the
box and amount of inventory contained within it.

BOX SIZES & COMPENSATION

True Sports Cards
will primarily utilize the following box sizes for sorting assignments:

Important: Compensation is based on the assigned box size and sorting
assignment. Boxes may contain varying amounts of cards depending on the
inventory being processed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Receive unsorted boxes of
sports cards.

·      Sort cards by sport.

·      Identify the year of the
cards.

·      Identify the manufacturer
and set.

·      Separate cards into the
appropriate sets.

·      Put cards into numerical
order by card number within each set.

·      Keep completed boxes neatly
organized.

·      Identify and separate cards
that may require additional review, including:

o  Rookie Cards

o  Hall of Famers

o  Stars

o  Inserts

o  Parallels

o  Autographs

o  Memorabilia cards

o  Numbered cards

o  Short prints

·      Follow True Sports Cards
sorting and inventory procedures.

·      Maintain a high level of
accuracy.

·      Report unusual, valuable, or
difficult-to-identify cards to the inventory team.

·      Return completed boxes
according to company procedures.

WORK-FROM-HOME REQUIREMENTS

Because this
position involves handling physical inventory, employees must have:

·      A clean, organized workspace.

·      Adequate table/work surface for
sorting cards.

·      Ability to safely store
inventory while boxes are being processed.

·      Reliable transportation if
required to pick up or return inventory.

·      Ability to carefully handle and
protect sports-card inventory.

·      Ability to maintain
organization of multiple boxes at a time.

Preferred

·      Previous sports-card sorting
experience.

·      Knowledge of major sports-card
manufacturers.

·      Familiarity with Topps, Bowman,
Panini, Upper Deck, Donruss, Fleer, Score, and other manufacturers.

·      Ability to identify major
players, rookies, Hall of Famers, inserts, and parallels.

·      Previous experience working in
a card shop, collectibles business, inventory department, warehouse, or
e-commerce operation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for
someone who genuinely enjoys sports cards and takes pride in organization.

You should be able to
take a box of hundreds or thousands of completely unsorted cards and
systematically turn it into organized inventory.

Accuracy is more
important than speed.

Efficient and
accurate sorters will have the opportunity to increase their earnings by
completing more boxes.

THIS IS NOT A JOB FOR SOMEONE LOOKING TO JUST COLLECT A
PAYCHECK.

This is a fast-paced, production-oriented warehouse
position. You will be expected to work, stay focused, and consistently produce
results throughout your shift.

True Sports Cards is more than a Card Shop. We set a high standard for ourselves and how we serve our customers. Nothing is more important to me than finding the right people to add to our team.

Many have tried to apply or work for us, and many have been phased out or left because the expectation for work that our team can be proud of was just too difficult for them.

Location: Rocklin, CA - Warehouse and/or Card Shop

Job Type: Part-Time up to 25 hours per week with opportunities to earn more hours

Pay: $20–$23/hour depending on experience + performance bonuses

Schedule: Three consecutive weekdays between as early as 9am to as late as 5pm

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our warehouse team and help process a large volume of sports trading cards.

The primary responsibility will be scanning sports cards in bulk, organizing cards, and accurately preparing inventory for our online sales operation.

This is a great position for someone who enjoys sports, collectibles, computers, and working in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Scan large quantities of baseball, basketball, football, and other sports cards
  • Use card-scanning equipment and computer software to process inventory
  • Sort and organize cards before and after scanning
  • Handle cards carefully to prevent damage
  • Verify that scanned cards are properly identified
  • Identify and separate cards that require special attention
  • Organize cards into boxes, storage locations, or designated inventory areas
  • Maintain an accurate and organized workspace
  • Follow established procedures for processing cards efficiently
  • Help with other warehouse and inventory tasks as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

  • Knowledge of the three major sports and increasing knowledge and willingness to learn new sports/genres
  • Strong attention to detail which will limit mistakes
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
  • Above average computer skills
  • Able to follow detailed instructions from another team member
  • Good organizational skills and keeping work areas clutter free
  • Careful when handling valuable items
  • Able to work independently, yet within a team environment

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of sports and sports trading cards
  • Previous warehouse, inventory, retail, e-commerce, or data-entry experience
  • Experience with scanners, computers, or inventory software
  • Familiarity with eBay, Whatnot, or other online marketplaces

Sports-card experience is NOT required. We will train the right person. But you have to be able to retain instructions. Continually making repeated errors will not be tolerated.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We're looking for someone who can become extremely efficient at processing cards while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Cards must be handled carefully and kept organized throughout the scanning and inventory process.
